Jet3270 is the full featured Java applet we provide for mainframe access. Because it's got a lot of features, it's Big and takes a long time to load the first time.
IP Australia is trialling a new version of Jet (called 2.6c) that uses Netscape's Smart Update to install the applet on your PCs hard drive. This means that the next time you use Jet3270 2.6c it will load in less than a minute, rather than taking nearly 13 minutes on a 9600 bps modem.
If you use the new version, you will be asked permission for it to install on your hard drive and you wil have to restart your browser before using it.
