Changing the name of a preference set
The name of a preference set cannot be changed
directly. Instead the old preference set must be duplicated, giving the
duplicate the
new name, then the old preference set must be deleted.
Any hosts using the old preference set must be
changed to use the new one.
- Select Edit Preference Sets... from the Preferences menu.
The Edit Preferene Set dialog box appears.
- Select the preference set to be renamed.
- Click Duplicate...
The Duplicate Preference Set dialog box appears.
- Enter the new preference set name.
- Click OK.
- If the old preference set is the default:
- Select the new preference set.
- Click Make Default.
The new preference set is marked "(Default)".
- Select Edit Host List... from the Preferences menu.
The Edit Host List dialog box appears.
- For each host in the Configured Hosts list with the old preference set:
- Select the host.
- Click Change...
The Change dialog box appears.
- Select the new preference set from the Preference Set choice box.
- Click OK.
The host is listed with the new preference set.
- Click OK on the Edit Host List dialog box.
The Edit Host List dialog box disappears.
- Select Edit Preference Sets... from the Preferences menu.
The Edit Preference Sets dialog box appears.
- Select the old preference set.
- Click Delete.
The old preference set disappears from the Preference Set
list.
