Restoring New Window mode
When JET 3270 starts in "In-Browser" mode there is no menu bar,
which can make JET 3270 harder to use. The following instructions
describe how to reconfigure JET 3270 to start in "New Window" mode.
- Start JET 3270.
- If the Change Font Setting tool bar icon (the yellow "A" icon) is
visible:
- Click the Change Font Setting tool bar icon.
The Change Preference Set screen appears.
- Select the Display card.
- Select This Page for Other Display Preferences from.
- If the Start First JET Screen in a New Window checkbox is not
ticked:
- Click the Start First JET Screen in a New Window checkbox.
- Click Save All.
- Click OK.
The Change Preference Set screen disappears.
- Exit the Browser.
- FINISHED
JET 3270 will start in "New Window" mode when it is next
started.
- If the Change Font Setting tool bar icon is not visible:
- Exit the Browser.
- Open the web page used to load JET 3270 in a text or HTML
editor.
Note: If you are loading JET 3270 from a web server
the web server
administrator may need to perform this and the following step.
- If the start_new_window applet
parameter is set to no:
- Edit the web page to set
start_new_window to
yes.
- Exit the text or HTML editor.
- Start JET 3270 from the editted web page.
- If JET 3270 starts in "New Window" mode:
- Select Quit from the File menu.
- Exit the browser.
- FINISHED.
JET 3270 will start in "New Window" mode when it is
next started.
- If JET 3270 starts in "In-Browser" mode:
- If the start_new_window applet
parameter is not set to no:
