Tool Bar

The tool bar contains icons to initiate JET 3270 functions with a single click. When a tool bar icon is dimmed it is not applicable at that time.

The tool bar icons are:

• Reconnect to hostname:port
  Connects to the current hostname/port. The same as Reconnect on the Connection menu.
• Disconnect from Remote Host
  Disconnects from the host. The same as Disconnect on the Connection menu.
• Connect to a New Remote Host
  Prompts for a hostname and port, then connects to the specified hostname/port. The same as Connect... on the Connection menu. Not displayed if disable_connect is yes.
• Cut
  Copies the selected text to the clipboard then deletes it. The same as Cut on the Edit menu.
• Copy
  Copies the selected text to the clipboard. The same as Copy on the Edit menu.
• Paste
  Inserts text from the clipboard at the cursor location. The clipboard contents may be from the JET 3270 terminal screen or another application. The same as Paste on the Edit menu.
• Receive a file from the host
  The same as "Receive file from host" on the File menu.
• Send a file to the host
  The same as "Send file to host" on the File menu.
• Change Font Setting
  Displays the Font card of the Change Preference Set screen for the current preference set. No direct menu equivalent.
• Change or View Keyboard Settings
  Displays the Keyboard card of the Change Preference Set screen for the current preference set. No direct menu equivalent.
• Change Colour Settings
  Displays the Colour card of the Change Preference Set screen for the current preference set. No direct menu equivalent.
• Edit Preference Sets
  Displays the Edit Preference Sets dialog box, used to change, create, duplicate and delete preference sets. The same as Edit Preference Sets... on the Preferences menu.
• Edit Host List
  Displays the Edit Host List dialog box, used to configure the properties of hosts, including their preference set. The same as Edit Host List... on the Preferences menu.
• Start new emulator window
  Starts a new JET 3270 window. No menu equivalent. Not displayed if disable_new_window is yes. When the mouse pointer is over this icon JET 3270 version information is displayed on the status bar.
• Print current Screen
  Prints the terminal screen. The same as Print Screen on the File menu.
• Stop Script
  Stops a script. The same as Stop Script on the Connection menu.
